Should I rent a Caravan or Campervan?
First we need to understand exactly what a caravan and campervan is.

Caravan; A caravan is a type of towable holiday home – basically a small living space on wheels that you can attach to the back of a car and pull with you.

Campervan; A campervan is a self-contained vehicle you can both drive and live in – it’s basically a van which has been built into a mini home.

A caravan is a small home you’ll typically tow and stow in a single place, staying on a campsite for the entirety of the vacation.

A campervan is a self-contained vehicle where you drive and sleep, there’s no towing involved, it’s easier to drive and get up and move every day.

A caravan allows you to detach the vehicle from it and leave the caravan behind to run errands or do day to day things away from the caravan without having to take it everywhere with you (as long as it’s parked on a site).

A campervan is your home on wheels, it’s smaller so more manageable and manoeuvrable and feels more like an adventure than a static holiday.

Choosing a caravan or campervan is a very easy decision, people who hire campervans are active people who’re looking adventure and flexibility. Whereas typically the people who prefer caravanning are looking to visit one or maybe two locations, have slow days and use a mix of their caravan and the campsites facilities for living. Campervans are more for the adventurer who has a desire to visit many places, doesn’t want the stress of finding places to park, and who generally cares less for schedules.
