Where can you go in a Campervan?
Most hire companies will allow travel in the UK and Europe, but to be certain it’s important to check with each business independently.

The reason there’s a difference is because each business can decide where they allow you to travel, sometimes this is because they want to keep their fleet close, or sometimes its because they’re insurer doesn’t allow their hirers to travel to certain places.

An example could be that a business in the UK won’t allow you to travel into the EU and vice versa.

As far as actual places are concerned, the opportunities are endless. Some countries allow free camping (park overnight and leave no trace), others prohibit it, but really a Campervan can go almost anywhere and find a lovely place to stay, whether its on a campsite or not.

You should check the local rules concerning this before hand as each country can vary.

Something that’s extremely important and always spoken about within the campervan community is the ‘leave no trace’ principle. It means that wherever you park overnight you should absolutely, categorically leave no trace you where there. It’s for the locals, the environment and for the next person.

If your free camping you can use a great App called Park4night, it’ll show you legal and safe overnight parking for campers.

Something that’s truly underappreciated in the UK is that were in Europe, and we have the entire continent at our feet. Using a campervan we can travel until our hearts content, eat breakfast in one country and settle down in the next.

So whether it’s a beach, city, forest or mountain range your looking for, there’s never one too far away. In fact you can do more than one in a single day, that’s the beauty of campervans.
